1. What is Physician Partners?

   Physician Partners is a physician business organization. We utilize a messenger model system where individual physicians’ fee schedules are confidentially maintained in our database. The individual physician information is aggregated for modeling purposes, and to evaluate contract reimbursement proposals from insurance payors.

2. How can Physician Partners help individual offices?

   Our contracting experience and the tools in our database have helped physicians have access to superior fee-for-service contracts. Our delegated status for credentialing saves the physicians administrative time and cost.

3. Does Physician Partners have non-physician members?

   Physician Partners membership consists of MDs, DOs, and DPMs.

4. How many payor contracts does Physician Partners currently offer?

   Physician Partners currently offers 34 fee-for-service contracts, including 22 group health contracts, 11 workers’ compensation contracts, and 1 Medicare contract. Contracts available from Physician Partners are listed on the Health Plans page.

5. What if I am already contracted with some of the insurance payors with whom Partners has contracts?

   Each Physician Partners member decides whether to “opt in” to the various Partners contracts. Physician Partners contracts with payors may supercede existing contracts the individual physicians may have with the payors.

6. How does Physician Partners operate?

   Physician Partners is a membership organization, and dues are our primary source of revenue. Individual dues are $112.50/month or $1250/year if paid within 30 days of application. Membership is available to physicians who are members in good standing of a San Diego hospital medical staff and/or members in good standing of a Scripps-related medical organization.
